UK Bokken Bootcamp 2016

We wanted to try something different this year and give members and non members some detailed exposure to Bokken paired kata work. Also for those travelling, you might not need to bring anything as we can provide a limited number Bokken on request for the event.

This will include the first 5 Ono Ha Itto Ryu Kata which we practice directly under Sasamori Soke.

3 days of paired Kata

  • MJER Tachi Uchi no Kurai
  • Battoho Katachi
  • OHIR Kata 1 – 5

Participants do not need to bring Iaito as will be a weekend of Bokken training only. Open to KNBK and Non KNBK members. Beginners welcome.

Instructor : Marc Mebis Sensei from Belgium

Seminar fee for 3 days training will be £60 or £20 per day

Seminar fees are payable in advance.  Get in touch for more details.

HNIR Kent Event – 25th October

Would you like to try the 500 year old two sword style of Miyamoto Musashi?  We are holding our annual Kent based event on the 25th October from 12pm to 5pm at the University of Kent – Chatham Maritime Campus Sports Hall.

The keiko is open to all, beginners and more advanced alike.

It is a great chance for those in the South – who cannot usually make it up north – to get some good instruction and training.

Please bring bokuto (preferrably niten style) and packed lunch.

facebook cover imageWe are now up and running.  We train every Tuesday night from 7.30pm to 9.00pm.  We are based in the St Georges School, Broadstairs.  Practically opposite ASDA.

Great location, nice large gym space, light parking, and heating!
